Editor's Note: Meet Lisa Omarali, a.k.a. @LisaDragon. In my journey of rediscovering Brunei through your eyes, I came across Lisa's photography. One word to describe it - diverse. Check out her work on Flickr, and you will see what I mean. Lisa blogs here, and is of the administrators behind the Brunei Forever Forum; if you are a new or existing photographer, check out the forum for tutorials and details about local photography outings, and get to know other photographers from the Bruneian community.
p.s. You may have already come across some of her work; she was behind the graphics editing of this iRB Asian 7s Series promo shot.

Get to know her a little, and check out some of her work. Here's Lisa.
When did you first start taking photography seriously?
In 2007, when I bought my first dSLR. I could not stop snapping away and exploring all the different photography arenas, i.e. portraits, street shooting, HDR, bokeh, landscapes, sunsets, strobist... Photography is my hobby, a way to fill in idle time and at the same time experiment with my art.
What was your first camera?
I started with a film automatic way back in the 1990s, went through two point-and-shoots before my first dSLR, a Nikon D40x.
What camera would you recommend?
Anything you are comfortable with - a camera is just a tool. I am currently using a Nikon D90. :D
What do you most enjoy taking pictures of, and why?
Still life, landscape and nature, my cats, life in Brunei (note: check out Kenali Negara Kitani), and self portraits. With a camera, I am able to capture moments and emotions forever so I or someone else can enjoy what I see; with Photoshop, I can create a painting of a piece of my mind. I also love my film cameras! :D Lomography is a sense of freedom, where I don’t worry about rules and composition, and just snap away!
