Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy 2012: Victory!
Written by Delwin Keasberry Friday, 09 March 2012 23:40
Greetings Readers! A few moments ago, the final whistle blew for the Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy 2012. We did it! Wohooo! Brunei walked away the victors against Indonesia. Md Aminuddin Zakwan bin Tahir #18 scored the first goal at the 48 minute and Adi bin Said #20 sealed the deal with the second goal at the 75th minute of the game (for in depth statistics, see here). If you are based in Brunei, no doubt you would have already heard the great news and if not, not to worry. It will be the talk of the town for a while. Newspapers, radio, tv, social networks, family and friends. Everyone will be talking about it. I could not be at the Stadium but I watched it live on RTB2 at home. From what I could see (and hear!), the atmosphere at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas was EEEELECTRIC tonight! For those of us who were watching and connected at home, the combination of the live match on tv plus real-time updates, images and videos via our social networks definitely helped.
This is the highlight reel from tonight's event by mohamednazmi from YouTube followed by more content from connected netizens who were at the match tonight. Big Love as well to Indonesia for a game well played but tonight, victory was ours! Woot!
