STUDENTS looking to further their studies flocked to the Duli Pengiran Muda Al-Muhtadee Billah College (Maktab Duli) ... to sort out their options at the Education UK Exhibition.
Thirty-six educational institutions along with CfBT Education Services and the Ministry of Education's Scholarship Section participated in the exhibition at the college's auditorium to provide guidance and assistance to students.
The Brunei Times caught up with a few students receiving consultation at the exhibition to find out their educational plans.
An upper-six student from Maktab Duli, Abdul Khair, said that while he would be sitting for his A' Level exams at the end of the year, he was browsing through the exhibition to set a goal for him to achieve.
"I'm not quite sure what university or course I'd like to take but now I'm interested in taking a degree in International Relations. The United Kingdom is a tempting country to study in," said the 17 year old who said that the UK would be a good studying and living experience
Two friends 18-year-old Nur Nadidi Kifli and 19-year-old Aminatul Izzati Hj Othman were looking for potential universities to study in as they had just received favourable results for their recent A' Level examinations.
"I want to experience another country because I have never been to the UK. I want to try my luck there," said Nur Nadidi who is interested in taking a degree in Sports Science.
"As of now, my top university would be Liverpool John Moores University. There's a course there I'm really interested in," said the aspiring sports scientist who hoped that she would be able to help Brunei sports to reach an international level in the future.
Aminatul Izzati said that she plans on taking a degree in Financial Mathematics then continuing her studies to a postgraduate level so she can provide appropriate assistance to the government.
