Greetings Readers! For those of you who have been following my journey, you might remember the 'Your Brunei' Twitter Photography contest. Last year, there were over 150 photographs submitted via Twitter and these were the winning entries. Great News! I am doing a collaboration with the iCentre and It Is Back!
Allow me to introduce the iMMerse Photography Challenge 2011.
The iMMerse program is iCentre’s initiative that aims to nurture and grow a diverse community of organizations to boost Brunei's Multimedia industry by multiplying the strength and maturity of locally based enterprises through the development of new ideas and technology.
In essence, it is a photography contest, where all you need to do is to tweet me (@BruneiTweet) up to five photographs to the theme "My Brunei". You have until Sunday 9th October 2011 to do so. 10 will then be shortlisted and then you get to vote for the winning photographs (details here). Prizes include a Fish Eye Camera Set and Crumpler Bag combo from Icklebooks and vouchers from QQeStore, Cheez Box and Gripps Cafe.
Here are the terms and conditions.
The iMMerse Photography Challenge 2011 is open to everyone.
Entry to this challenge is FREE.
Entries to be submitted via Twitter only to @BruneiTweet after agreeing to these terms and conditions.
Only images taken in Brunei Darussalam can be entered.
Entries submitted must not have won any other photographic competition, either locally or internationally.
Submissions can only be digital, but scanned slides or photographs are permitted.
Please submit images as best possible quality JPG or TIFF files.
All submitted photos must be accompanied with a short description.
Participants are allowed to submit up to a maximum of 5 images.
iMMerse and iCentre retains the right to publish any submitted photo in our gallery, in electronic and printed promotional material as well as exhibition spaces and in those cases there will be no payment for the use of the copyright. We will not sell or give away the rights to use your photographs to any third party without seeking prior consent.
First round of images will be selected by representatives of iCentre, ProjekBrunei.com and also by professional photographer, Jan Shim.
Final round of images will be selected based on the total number of votes from the public and subsequently on the photographer's creativity of the composition and description by the judges.
Selected photographs will be announced on this website, ProjekBrunei.com, iCentre's Facebook Page and broadcasted by @BruneiTweet.
All decisions of the judges are final and not subject to review.
Final winners will be announced in 19th October 2011.
All the best!
